Motherboard suggestion needed...

My friend need a new motherboard as his current motherboard gone kaput!!

He's looking for hybrid(preferable) or non-hybrid onboard graphics chipset motherboard...

System Spec :-

Intel Pentium D 935 3.2 Ghz
Ram 2 Gb ddr2
Hdd 1 Tb
Graphic card POV 8600 gts (i think)

Basically he wants a good graphic solution onboard !!

Budget is 5-8k


Any suggestion guyz ?? Plz reply asap...

Why does he need a good onboard graphic solution, wen he has a discrete GPU?
At that budget, he can sell off his proccy n RAM, and upgrade to Athlon ii x4...

^^DDR3 ram needed for it. but I support the idea of a fresh upgrade. going for some DDR2 based board will keep the price under 8k but noticeable increase in performance.

By selling off his current cpu and Ram he should manage to get 1-1.5k at least and 2GB DDR3 ram is Dirt Cheap now - so it's wise to get new cpu+mobo+2GB or 4GB ram by spending 2-2.5k extra

Yeah, a fresh AMD rig for 8k will be much better idea and will also be much faster.
Its not a wise decision to go for a DDR2 Mobo at 8k. So, better go for a new rig.

As TOPGEAR said, If he sells his proccy + RAM he can fetch ~1.5K which s sufficient for a good rig..
