1. Budget? 7.5 k (almost strict) :D
2. Display type and size? 3"
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip? Bar.
4. Preferred choice of brand? Samsung/Nokia.
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type). Touchscreen
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)? Mails / Internet(at times, when I am outside), Multimedia(Listening to songs)..
11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? Wave Y / Galaxy Y / Any other that fits in budget is fine enough
12. Any other info that you want to share
:- I need the phone primarily for songs, browsing internet on the go, etc. On comparison, Wave Y has slightly better screen resolution over Galaxy Y, but it lacks Android. But, I never used Android before, and does not need a lot of apps too :p . So, a bit confused between the two.

^^ give him the link of HTC Explorer you posted earlier.

i'll suggest going for Android even if you want it for audio. reason is there are a ton of music players in market with equalizer. so all you need is a proper IEM if the bundled headphones are not good.

I m in no hurry to buy it... :D

Android will be good coz apps and all can be a good time pass in hostel . :D (as I dont own a laptop, yet).
So Is Galaxy mini 2 really worth the wait, or should I get HTC one for 8k (actually exceeds my budget)...?

just check how much space is usable in HTC Explorer. Some say free space is just around 50Mb and that my friend won't help you if you try to install apps. If that point is sorted out, start Exploring
