Making ie9 run on win7 pc

Right off the assembly line
hi,
I recently changed my os from winxp to win7. Win7 os is genuine. I used the digit dvd to instal sp1. I tried loading ie9 from teh digit dvd but it failed. Then, using windows update, i updated all my win7 components and also upgrade from ie8 to ie9. When i try to load ie9 by clicking on the icon, the new window starts momentarily and closes. I had to roll back and use ie8.
how do i over cme whatever bug/error occured and upgrade to and use ie9. Similarly, windows media player also doesnot work

Undead!!!
Do as below:
First of all install latest build of ie9 and wmp.
1.Head To control panel.
2.Open program and features.
3.Open windows program features form side menu.
4.Let the list load up.
5.Make sure internet explorer 9 and media features are ticked(not boxed).
6.After that untick both and re tick them.Accept all warnings in between.
7.Let windows apply changes and then restart when prompted to do so.

Anyway you will be skipping to chrome/firefox and vlc/klite very soon.!

are you sure you want too use IE9?
i'd suggest you use a more modern browser

you can get opera/mozilla firefox for free, and use it without hassles.

i dont think there is any compactibility issue of ie9 with win7. i have done the upgrade from ie8 to ie9 without any of these issues.

Lol... you don't even know how difficult is it to educate some guys who are a fanboy of IE. They just don't want to learn. (Personal experience).

No offense to the OP. :)
