Laptop Lcd Questions

I have a acer lappy. I generally listen music at night/late night. BUt i always have to keep the lcd open while listening music. because when i close the lcd the lappy goes to standby mode instantly. i also download torrents through out night for the free hours. For this, i also have to keep the lcd opened. IS THERE ANY WAY OR OPTION BY WHICH LAPPY WONT ENTER TO STANDBY MODE WHILE THE LCD KEPT CLOSED ???

Assuming you use windows....

1. Goto Control Panel --> Power options

2. See there for "Do nothing when I close the lid" in the option or in advanced tab.

Now your PC is on with the lid closed.

Forgot to tell this. It's advised not to close your lid for more than 150 minutes and still do some tasks (music, BT, etc.) as your lappy might get heated up this might damage your lappy.

Just set off the screen from screensaver properties
