Its definitely possible, but only at the Google, Microsoft level.

I cannot imagine how much cost would be involved in that kind of grid.

An addon server and some synchronizing method between them would be just the thing right? Why would it cost more than just 2 server rates?

My real question
suppose i have hosted site in us ..which database has many record now....
we want to put a mirror in indian server ..so that it is faster...
(indian people user indian server and us ...use us server)
so we need to replicate..the site
so rather than going to code and changing it ..
are there any options...any mechanism...

i think the major update mechanism is required in database..mysql
any way we can get it done...

it would be better if there is any automatic replication on either server for uploaded files...

I agree, Mirroring is not rocket science, and it is not something very much uncommon. Grid server, clustered server, fail-safe servers works on same principle.

i dont know from where the think gets so complicated..

we have a site hosted in us server with around 500 mb(-1gb) of space,powered by php mysql..not opensource cms...

we have an isp here who has server(not commecial but has enough space and bandwidth) and ready to provide us 500mb-1gb space...(we have it)

now the sites is runnung through us server only ..we are planning to upload all files here in indian server as well....we already have the files in US server...

but problem is when operate site(insert,update,delete,select) we do have some options as we see

change code...and insert or hit in both database for each action
problem :tedious...may go out of synchronization....may be slow ..doesnot seems good logic

2) files in both place...incremental backup at night...
problem: the people of different place may see different data,out of synchronization problem...

so i am asking is there any other task ..software....method..that can be done...to achieve this...
is there any thing hoster can do about these things..at hoster level...

even some tutorials might help...we are wanting help at hosting level..if now we might have to go to php programmer level or mysql database administrator level...

Grid and Cluster Computing isnt based/related to on Mirrors AFAIK.
