ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx . Available in software center but i want to download and install manually . is it possible

Yes its possible but requires a bit of knowledge of commands. Just Google and you'll find out how to do.

Use 12.04 LTS. 10.04 is way too old.

You're better off downloading via Ubuntu Software Center. Kget will also require the installation of KDElibs.

i had used 12.04 LTS , but interface was not good for me. there is missing of accesories ,menu , as on 10.04 . thats why i am not used 12.04.

UI changes with time, you should get used to it and use the latest one.

Easy. Install Xfce on 12.04 LTS.
