A few days ago, whenever I clicked on any folder, this error came (exact words):

"Attention ! Some Dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted. This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\Windows. Download protection software now. Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommmended)."

and then two buttons OK and Cancel. No matter which button I click, a web page opens in Firefox:

*free-viruscan.com/id/4912933/4/1/

and prompts me to download a file

ie-av.exe

from

www.getieantivirus.com.

I know its a fake but how do I remove it? Spybot and avast! have not given any result that eliminated this. It opens up each time I open a folder. Please help me, I am tearing up my already meager hair!!!!
