how to open a password protected 7z file???

OK it's not as simple as it sounds .

I have a file which is a 7z SFX file with a .exe extention which means that it is an executable file which will extract it's contents when you open it. But i made it password protected

I might have mistyped the password when i was creating it coz i'm not able to open it now

Now, i've tried various RAR password crackers to open it but they don't even recognize the file coz it's a different format . And i havn't found any help whatsoever regarding this matter.

So, can anyone here help with me with this???

Create the archive again if it's yours. Otherwise forget it.

TDF doesn't support cracking passwords.
