How to enable CD autorun in XP....

For past 3-4 days the autorun ability of both of my DVD and CD-RW drives disappeared suddenly. I try to repair that through Autopatcher, by uninstalling and again installing the drivers from XP itself and also by the update driver wizard. But nothing works. If anyone have information about that, please help me.

Try basics first:
Open system properties->Device manager->Properties(Your CD/DVD drive)
See if autorun is an enabled option there.

Right click the cd drive and click on properties. Somewhere in properties you will have the choice of enabling auto run. Just look around for it cos I can't remember its in which tab.

Forgot to say, but I already tried to overcome through these settings. But unable to get back autorun. So now I have to open CD/DVD first and then run it. Anyway thanks for the replies friends.

try this ... Group Policy --- user config --Administrative template -- system --- make it disable.
