Hi Digitians

How many of you use Windows Automatic Updates or Auto Patcher or WSUS for updating your XP/2000/2003 Workstations and Servers ?

I update regularly, but my regularly is once or twice a month. I use windows only when I want to browse my nokia 7610 phone as I do not know how to do that in linux. So when I do boot into windows I invariably end up leaving my pc on windows for 15-30 minutes to update windows, antivirus and sometimes firewall. What a waste.

I never update my windows. The min you install Windows update another few update follows which is waste of bandwidth.

from the day the UL900 connection got activated, i "Turned Automatic Updates ON" :D (before that i had selected "Notify...option" for bsnl Home250)
as i sometimes get Updates frm HP too (for HP s/w, a bit heavy updates).

Yes I know....but never tried them...I am happy with my autopatcher..:D

Using Ryan's Packs is a better option. I have notices that Autopatcher includes even those Hotfixes which have been replaced by newer hotfixes, as mentioned in Ryan's Changelog.

Installing all the Hotfixes included in Autopatcher is not very useful or beneficial.
