Hi,

As the topic suggests, how do you save yourself from getting fooled by the computer shop's sales person tricks, frauds etc

Like.............

1. Fooling you about the price i.e asking for extra money then the actual price of the product.

2. Fooling you and giving you a brand thats a complete flop and failure

3. Giving you completely outdated model

4. Selling you a cheap local product that nobody cares...etc

Please share your experience,strategies,Advices etc

Thank you.

There is only one answer to this.

Do your own research before you go to buy.

Regarding prices, one can write down the prices from various online sites(flipkart for example) and take it with them. Always visit more than one shop and ask around for the prices. And if unsure about a product or if the sales guy is trying to sell a new product, come back and read up on it(or just go online from your phone/cyber cafe and research a bit). It won't go to waste. If unsure/not confident take someone experienced with you who is more aware about current technological advances.

So only two things:- Research and awareness.

And a tip:- Do not listen to the sales guy blindly. Remember,he is a sales guy. His primary concern is sales and profit. He won't be concerned with educating you(that is if he is not ignorant in the first place)
