Help needed in building my gaming rig.

Building a new gaming rig for my younger bro and my current dilemma is the GPU. I recently am doing a AMD/ATI Build. I was kind of planning on doing a Intel/NVIDIA (i7). My question though is there is big advantage of going with Nvidia or ATI? I am not speaking of any specific card, just the company. Example, Nvidia offers Phsyx which I often see in a lot of games I like using it. Is there big difference between Phsyx on/off?

Also I am using 1920x1080p as much res. (already have a MSI gtx 570 and am getting exceptionally gr8 results).

Coming on to PROCESSORS and MOBO's.

When choosing a computer CPU it usually comes down to two choices: AMD or Intel. The CPU wars between these two corporations have been going on for years, even resulting in antitrust charges filed against Intel several times. Both companies have created some amazing and some unsuccessful products and both have followers (aka fanboys) among the techies. However no matter what company you prefer, you have to agree that competition is great for the consumers since it drives the prices down and promotes innovation.

So i need some suggestions frm u guys.
1. GPU- nvdia or ATI
2. PRO- Intel or Amd

My former rig contains an intel core i-7 pro.

waiting for worthful suggestions frm vickybat, jas, cilus.
cheers

A: basically gaming at atleast 1366x768 res and watching full hd mov.

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A:yes.

A:40k but can go upto 45k if config suits better.

A:windows 7 and higher versions of windows only in future.

6. How much hard drive space is needed?

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A:5

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A:yes

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A:prob next month

Piyush's config is perfect :)

For PSU if you have no plan of SLI/Cross-fire later, I suggest you to go for FSP Saga II 500w @ Rs.2100 approx

^^^yeah i5 2500 is around 1k lower at 9100/-

Does the mobo support 1600mhz? Please check.

I have seen people recommending 1600mhz ram on a mobo that supports a max of 1333mhz.

You're right, intel lists max ram support as DDR3-1333mhz on their site.

Buy a better chasis from money saved.

sarath,
* i5-2500 no where costs 9.1k. It costs around 10k.

Piyus,
* 'k' series with a H67 is not an ideal combo at all, moreover if there is a GPU too.
* Intel DH67CL is just a waste of 1k as all its features are present in DH67BL for 5.5k except for additional 2 PCI slots which most of us dont use these days.
* A 6850 with a 20inch monitor doesnt sound good.

My PC suggestion:
* CPU: Intel i5-2400 -- 9.3k
* MoBo: Intel DH67BL -- 5.5k
* RAM: Corsair Value 4GB DDR3 -- 2.2k
* HDD: WDC Blue 500GB -- 1.7k
* ODD: Asus 24x DVD RW -- 1k
* PSU: FSP SAGAII 500W -- 2.1k
* Case: CM Elite 310 -- 1.5k
* Monitor: BENQ G2220HD -- 7.2k
* KB+Mouse: Logitech Combo -- 0.5k
* Speakers: your choice -- 1.8k
* UPS: APC 600VA -- 1.7k
Total --- 34.5k
+
* GPU: Sapphire Radeon 6850 -- 9.5k
GRAND TOTAL: --- 44k

Going for i5-2500 for around 1k more wont be good idea as you just get a mere 200MHz difference.

Guys i think of all of the posted config's i like this one the most.One more confussion about the psu. Is fsp saga is a worthful psu i mean can it match wid the performance of corsair's psu...

Moreover i have no idea of the dealers of fsp saga in my city nor in Bhubaneswar.

@saswat

Can u suggest the dealer avalaible in cuttack or bhubaneswar for fsp saga..

vickybat

I am the night...I am...
^^ Afaik, oem's for corsair are seasonic, cwt, flextronic (their own brand). Never saw an fsp based corsair unit before.

@ somulesnar

Aditya infotech deals with fsp psu's in bbsr.

FSP SAGAII 500W is what we can say the most VFM PSU for 2.2k. Surely nothing can beat it at this price.

@ somulesnar:
Its the contact info of Aditya Infotech at BBSR:
Aditya Infotech Ltd. HOME Page

They are distributors of FSP, Corsair, Sapphire and Palit in India. So, you can surely get FSP SAGAII 500W, Corsair VX-450 or any other Corsair PSU and RAM from them.Also you can get Sapphire HD 6850 from them.
But if you are going for SAGAII 500W then order immediately and grab it ASAP from them as FSP SAGAII 500W is out of stock in India due to huge demand now a days.

Even I bought FSP SAGAII 500W from them only.

BTW from where did you ge your Corsair HX-620.
