What is the backup time of your inverter ??

Also how many fans,tubelight, etc, you use during powercut ??

our electrician told on full load it will be 3 hours. but the time can be increased by reducing load. i only use tubelight, fans, cfl. I am not using TV.

But every dealer prefers microtek products.
They said that "it is the only inverter with inbuilt bypass switch "

It's a marketing gimmick...
Every inverter has it. Even luminous and others. You turn off the front power button on the inverter

In manual mode,
You remove the incoming power plug to inverter, turn inverter off, take the plug from backside and plug it into the socket from where you removed inverter plug
Set inverter aside
That's it

I want to run mainly computer with inverter
1)I think maximum power of my computer can be taken as 500W(As I have 450W psu)
2)Although my psu is 450W ,it is not included in calculation of power as 450 W (suggest me if i am wrong)

Microtek inveter (900VA) with Exide battery (150 Ah)
Calculation of total power provided by inverter
------------------------------------------------------------
900 VA inverter will give =900 X .8
= 720 W

500W computer will give =500 /.8
=625 VA

Formula for backup time
--------------------------------
Battery Voltage x Battery AH rating = Required VA x Backup Time
12 x 150 = 625 x Backup Time
1800/625 = Backup Time
2.88 hrs = Backup Time
