Hi growl_kid, welcome to TDF. 1st of all, for gaming, FX 6100 is not a good choice, in fact you can say it bad. Better opt for something like FX 8120 or Intel Core i 2400. But 1st you fill up the questions present in the THREAD *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/pc-compon...new-pc-help-answer-these-questions-first.html and post it here so that we can suggest you the best config :)

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: My main purpose is gaming. I want to play most of the modern games (medal of honor warfighter, max payne 3,crysis 3, tomb raider, fifa 13,COD: black ops ii, AC III...(i am dropping the word "etc." deliberately here ;)) at the highest settings with options like v-sync and anti alias on without lagging (of course at a resolution minimum 1366x720)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:My budget is 40k (approx.) and i can not go any further!!!

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No...not really!

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: I am planning to use windows 8 but if it becomes costly then windows 7 will do fine

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB would be good as i have 3 external HDDs

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes i want monitor too. about monitor i am not particular. i liked the monitor benQ g2222 HDl. but i can go for AOC or samsung 21 inch if i have to cut down a few bucks.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: i prefer ATI radeon graphic card with AMD processor. (i was planning to buy ATI Radeon 6790 HD or 7770 HD)

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: End of december 2012

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: i will go to some shop and assembler will build this one.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in Bangalore. Yes i am buying locally. No i really don't want to buy anything online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:pleeeeeaseeeeeee help me ...i am dying to play new gamessssss. i posted my preferred choices above...... :(:-( Thanks in advance :)

First of all , 1366x720 is not a standard resolution it is either 1366x768 or 1280x720 (720p HD). And also please avoiding over stretching a word like you did with please and games in your last line and no DDR5 tech for RAM has still not arrived , we are in DDR3 gen.

Now with the rig :
Processor: Core i3 2100 @ 6.8k
Motherboard : Intel DH67CL @5.5k
RAM: Corsair DDR3 4 GB 1333 Mhz @1k
HDD: WD Blue 500GB @ 3.5k
DvD Drive :Asus DRW-24B3ST@1k
Graphics Card :Sapphire AMD HD 7770 OC Edition 1 GB @10k
PSU:Seasonic S12II 430 @3.4k
Cabinet:NZXT Source 210 Elite @2.5k
Monitor:Benq G2220hd @7.1k
Keyboard &Mouse :Amkette Classic Duo @0.3k
Total=41k

If you can , buy a Sapphire HD 7850 1GB @ 13k instead of the graphics card I mentioned ... for that you need to extend your budget or compromise on other parts like a smaller monitor , cheaper mobo and cheaper Cabinet .
