I donot think they were ever this low. The lowest I found online with all tax at that time was 1.9k

they were, Last I got for friend was at 1.5K and a Dealer said to me he will give me at 1.2K after couple of months or so. difficult to believe but ..

Yes it was definitely created.Btw 500gb were selling for 1.7k.Then it became 2.4k then 3.5 and now as we all know.The price skyrocketed within 3-4 days.
