hard disk sound ! help

hi friends, for the past few days whenever i select the refresh option at the desktop, a mild and very short sound comes out of my hard disk. i am using a 160 gb western digital hd.athlon dual core processor with asus motherboard and 1 gb kingstone ram. i have four partitions.can anybody help me please?

you mean 'click-click' sound then your hard disk is dying,make backups of important data and get a new one.

Sounds like HDD gonna crash anytime. Time to buy a new one

Backup your data & replace your HDD if it is under warranty or else buy a new one
