Guys need Android for 15-20k

Hi guys I need Android mobile either HTC,Samsung,Motorola.I dont like Sony

Requirements
Good battery back up and camera
Big Screen
Android 2.3

Guys can we update to 2.3 if take android 2.2 mobile I dint use one before so i am asking this.

HTC is not possible. Motorola Defy+ is there & its overpriced. Neo V but then you don't like Sony mobile. so only option left is Galaxy R but will cost 20k. on the lower side you can go for the original Defy or Defy+ if you don't feel its overpriced.

yes. all mobiles above 15k can be updated to Android 2.3 & some to Android 4.0. you may look at the mobile reference guide. then you can jump to the exact mobile you want in minimal time.

Since you donot like Sony another phone to look at will be Apple iPhone 3Gs. Better buy than the 4s.

motorola defy + is 17k online in flipkart.com but I heard its battery is not so good? is that true otherwise I will go for it. Htc Incredible comes with 2.2 right so can we get ICS update for that or 2.3?

I think Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy Y. Both the phones are great and suits in your budget as well as requirement.

Motorola Defy is another Option for you. But I would suggest you to go with any of the Samsung phone.

It is easily available for 20-21k in local market as well as online shops.
It is great phone thats all I can say

Incredible S comes with android 2.3.3 and 2.3.5 update is available now.And for sure it will get ICS update.
I own it and it is a very good phone.
But it is out of your budget,it costs around 23k

I have a friend living in US,he is coming in a month or so,is it reliable to buy in US/ any probs will come??

No issues in buying from your just check that you are getting international warranty as I don't think any mobile brand gives international warranty so you will having a lil issues with its service and also you need to check one thing that it is factory unlocked.
Apart from that one personal suggestion I would like to give you, if we see the current value of dollar today then you will notice that there is not much price difference in India when compared to US and also if one buys from US then he/she doesn't get the warranty also so I suggest you to buy from India only as there is not much price difference
