everyone here who thought 6870 and 6850 wont get competition were wrong. :p

prepare for the release of GTX 560 non ti version soon.
NVIDIA Readies Non-Ti GeForce GTX 560 To Ward Off HD 6790 Threat | techPowerUp

The GeForce GTX 560 is said to have 336 CUDA cores enabled (same configuration as the GF104-based GTX 460 1 GB), 56 TMUs, 256-bit GDDR5 memory interface holding 1 GB of memory. The thing that sets this SKU apart from the GTX 460 is going to be clock speed and overclocking potential, which is known to be higher on GF11x GPUs in general. Unlike HD 6790, there's no set launch date for the "non-Ti" GeForce GTX 560. Tentatively mid-April or early May.

why can't they just stick to numbers like AMD has been doing since HD 3000 series and nVidia was doing since GT 200 series?? :|

Trying to cause unnecessary confusion.

Instead of naming it GTX 560...better name it GTX 560 Non-Ti "officially" :|

I like Nvidia's naming way more than AMD's. Behind every GTX 560 there is a Ti written for the Ti versions, so if a GTX 560 comes with no Ti written that simply means a Non Ti GTX 560, and no brand will put a negative word like 'Non' with their product.

Better name it something like GTX 555 Ti. Clear categorization of products is _always_ better.

Most will end up buying this card thinking they're getting GTX 560 Ti for cheap.

GTX 555 Ti or something like that would be good.
But buyers shouldn't think it as GTX 560 Ti while there is no Ti written on it.
