Hello,
Been lurking around these forums for sometime finally making my first post.:-D
Need advice regarding new gpu and psu.Was going to buy only gpu at first But then decided to check the box, It was a 450watts Mr Elcheapo. Now i need to get both Gpu and psu around 10k. Budget is tight , however i will try my best to extend it only if there is a gamebreaker deal available.

1. Which Power Supply do you have? (Be EXACT while naming the company and model)
Ans: Umax UNP450r npower

2. What is your budget?
Ans:around 10k utmost -tight (will try to extend a bit)

3. Which resolution will you game at?
Ans:Currently at 1360x768 , might upgrade in future to higher res.

4. What are your current computer specifications?
Ans: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400
intel motherboard (dnt remember model, will update later if necessary).
4 gb ram ddr2
500gb hdd
Windows 7 32 bit (will post any other details if necessary)

I am looking for a Gpu that will last a couple of years for me(2- 2.5 approx).
this will be my first specialist Gpu ( been using onboard till now ).
It will be really helpful if guys can provide me some trusty outlets where i can get this stuff at good prices (pref Mumbai).
I am open to online options but have never used them before,
and last if i need to make any other changes to my rig plz post them as well.

1) MSI R7750-PMD1GD5/OC Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Graphic Card

2) CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

or increase your budget by 1.4k and get HD 6790 which performs better than HD 7750.

thnx for suggestion guys ,:)

7750 seems like nice card , but isnt its performance below 550ti and 6770, which are around same price range ?
saw some benchmarks seems tht way.

@abhinav isnt gs600 an overkill for a card like 6770 ?

i am currently looking into 6790 and 7770 for now , but dnt mind other cards as well.
Asked my parents to help me a bit with this one. so budget went up abit here

now the max budget is around 12-12.5k it seems.
i am in no hurry to buy the card , can wait a bit since i have waited this long .
Are there any chances of price cuts next month as nvdia is releasing its new series ?

Gigabyte HD 7770 @ 9.1K is a Great Option and go with the PSU as Topgear suggested. Total will come to around 11.5K .

Gigabyte 7770 oc, His hd 7770 , Msi r770 oc are the only ones available at 9-10k range.

@Sainatarajan gigabyte 7770 at 9.1 is nice, can you tell where its available at ? here its above 9.5k mostly.

His hd 6850 and sapphire 6850 are at 10.3k and 10.6k respectively. but core clocks are 775 stock and not 820 like msi :(

as for psu ,Can someone explain whats the major diff between vs450 and cx430v2 , Is it worth it to spend few hundred on cx430v2 ?

Also abt overclocking ,Does overclocking a gpu affects its the warranty ?( i mean both stock and manual voltage tweaks).

hd 6790 + cx 430 is the way too go
you must also remember that most modern gpus will be bottlenecked by a c2q q8400 so you should have a good thought over it and and save some money by buying a card which wont be bottlenecked by your current system

Why, oh why, would the OP go for a 6790 when he can afford a 7770! And a 7770 bottlenecked by a q8400! No way...

i never said a hd 6790 or hd 7770 will be bottlenecked by a q8400
i said anything higher than than the hd 6790 (or hd 7770) will be botllenecked by that q8400
