Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Primarily gaming. Crysis 1 and 2, BF3, Batman AC, and all games for next 2 years.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 90k precisely

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Not now, maybe 1 year later when need arises

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 gb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No monitor needed

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, UPS, speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: in a week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Have built before

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Online

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Want the rig to be future proof for atleast 2 years. Will be gaming on a 22 inch HD monitor @ 1980x 1200 for now, might go with even higher resolutions in a few months if I get a new monitor.

Previous cabinet was too noisy. If possible, I would like a balanced, quiet cabinet that has good cooling as well, looks don't matter at all.

TBH, Cabinet in general doesn't make noise. Its the Processor Fan, which makes annoying noise, during heavy load or at higher temperatures.

If possible then also post details about your Monitor & UPS.

Here is my suggestion w.r.t your requirements

Processor : i5 2500k - 12k
Cpu Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - 2.1k
Motherboard : ASUS P8Z77-V - 15.5k
RAM : Gskill RipjawsX 8GB (4GB x 2) 1600MHz, CL9 - 3k
GPU : Asus Direct CU II GTX 670 - 30k
HDD : WD Cavair Black 1TB - 6.5k
PSU : Corsair TX850 v2 - 8k
Cabinet : Corsair Carbide 500R - 6.5k
Audio Card : Asus Xonar DX 7.1 - 4.5k

Total : 86k

Now, one small comparison between i5 2500k [2nd Gen sandybridge] & i5 3570k [3rd IVY] with respect to gaming.

i5 2500k & 3570k equally performs good in gaming while 2500k has lot of potential for Overclocking, while the other is good in video encoding, transfer and rendering capabilities. Also with different onboard Graphics with extra money. So its your wish, what you exactly want here.

Now moving towards GPU. Here i have suggested a GTX 670, which is proven to be a complete VFM card in that price catagory. Although if you wish to have multi monitors, then get a HD 7970.

Regarding the Cabinet. Corsair carbide 500r features the best cooling cabinet at this price catagory. Its looks beautiful [the B-W one] & also have space like Cooler Master HAF 932. Google about it to know more.

Last, but not the least. The Storage. IMO you don't need a SSD here just for gaming. SSD's only helps you to reduce the boot time & effective loadtimes, but not with the Frame rates in Games.

why not getting another WD Cavair Black 1TB & "RAID 0" it.

1) i5-2500k is enough for gaming but when you have the cash why not go for hyperthreading?
2) Perfect Z77 motherboard. I have it. Trust me.
3) Never will have to change this.
4) Standard.
5) Explained by d3p
6) Black series gives maximum warranty. You can cut down price here by going for a cheaper HDD(they're not bad)
7) More than enough wattage.
8) THE besteseestest cabinet in this price.

Yes but I think a capable cabinet can prevent the fan noises from escaping out.

I am only going to use a single monitor. I am going to go with something pretty close to your recommendation except that I am not getting an audio card, and will only get a 500gb hard disk. Will buy a SSD in a few months. Do you think the 670 will run well for 3 years? I know it will eat every game right now, but I have no past experience withgraphics cards. How long can such high-end cards be expected to keep running games at ultra 1080p, generally?

Also, will I have to overclock the i5 2500k as soon as I get the PC to start gaming?

Will a 650W Corsair supply be enough? the 650 one is available locally and I can get it at a discount.

Overclocking a 2500k for todays games has no sense..
It has potential to run games for at least 2 years @ stock speed..

650tx is nice one but if you can get :-D 650HX :-D then it's very good..
BTW what do you mean by locally available PSU?? ( local brand :-( / Local shop :p ??)

For SSD look for Corsair Force GT 240 GB/120GB :-D

^ I don't think SSD is that important, 2x WD Black 1 TB in RAID 0 or RAID 1 will be better value for money option.

Dude its RAID 0 (striping mode...)
RAID 1(mirror mode) is rather opposite & for enhanced reliability (though it's rare) sometimes may have -ve impact.. :-(

^ I knew that already. RAID 1 is more secure than RAID 0, because failure of either hard drive in RAID 0 will result in pure $Hit. On the other hand, if a drive fails in RAID 1, the other one still cotains the data.
