I have my C Drive installed with XP Home SP2 with all updates (Genuine). I wanted to format it and reinstall. But booting with the XP CD, I am getting provisions to upgrade and repair only and not to format. I could manage to delete one of the partitions but not C. I even downloaded an Fdisk image file, burnt it to a CD and tried booting from it but even that does'nt work.

Somebody pl help with step by step procedure.

R u using Autoplay of XP CD in ur installed windows? It will not work.
U should boot from the CD , by making CD ROM ur first priority device.

In the bios I have made CD Rom the only bootable device and booted from the XP CD.
