firefox query

Hi,

In firefox, when i download a torrent or rar file or for some specific file types, even if the "remember this option" (or whatever equivalent) is highlighted, it just keeps on popping again and again. It is annoying when u download many files. How can I stop firefox from asking this save option at all and always save in my desktop?

Tools-Options-Main-Downloads-Save FIles To [Browse] where u want them to be downloaded
this is to prevent them from being downloaded to yr desktop

I know this. In spite of this option, it asks!!! That is why its annoying!

Which firefox version you are using....may be its a bug which is causing this problem.....try installing the latest version......

It could be a problem if u r using the latest version "Gran Paradiso Alpha" which still has few bugs in it..... try waiting for the next release or install previous version....

If its not "Gran Paradiso Alpha", i dont have any idea abt ur problem....
