i am using firefox 11.0 and whenever i enter anything on my address bar and hit "enter" it used to go to google search and show me the results.
But now instead of that it is showing me MTNL search on all the searches i make using the address bar where you normally type in the url.

i tried going to firefox forum and looked for solutions but sadly none of them worked
tried making changes to the "about:config" option for firefox like the "keyword.url" changed it to
"*www.google.com/search?btnG=Google+Search&q="
but that didn't work too. restarted with addons disabled but still same search results, its making my crazy.

i have an mtnl modem but i have no softwares installed for it and neither do i have anything remotely related to MTNL on my pc

HELP!!!

1.You can directly use the search bar lying just right of address bar.

2.head to same about:config page.
Open keyword.url
paste this in the box.
if that doent work try pasting this yahoo link
Yahoo! Search - Web Search
Note:The actual links have been parsed by Forum system.Use quote to obtain links from URL Tags or This

it could also be dns hijacking...! opendns does that.
airtel does it, now mtnl also... !! great !
if that's the case you cannot do anything but change your dns servers :)

yup, you need to change DNS servers.

Try these out:

4.2.2.2
4.2.2.1
