That's rite when I put CD in it during windows boots, The DVD ROM works fine however wen I remove the CD and try the other one it stops working, and shows the driver not found for the DVD ROM

It is IDE

In your Device manager check if you see the CD/DVD drive listed.

Go to start > Run type devmgmt.msc and click on Ok.
It will open device manager, click on + sign near CD/DVD drive and check if it shows it.
Also let me know if you see a yellow or red mark near it.

The Sorcerer

oh wow...Xenforo!!!
Do let me know once you have done the steps I just told you:
Go to the bios and to your dvd drive's properties. Enable DMA rather than PIO. Go to your windows and on your IDE/atapi controller's advance settings on the device manager, set them all to DMA. Restart pc and see if does work. It might work for few since microsoft is ditching any support for IDE since its WAY too old. If it doesn't work, about time you get the sata drive and save yourself from the agony.
