download speed of torrent

IS there any way to increase my downloading speed of torrent, my downloading speed donot increase more than 16kBps at any stage, (n.b i dont have any modem only a cable wire plugged in my lan drive); which software will be a better option for downloading files, bitcomet or utorrent;......... plz guide me if any one have any solution for this;.........

uTorrent is better for many reasons. And for the speeds check if you have a NAT problem.

check which speed ur subscribed to.if 128 Kbps..then that's max u can get

azureus has been giving me very slow speeds of abt 2kbps for this 1 torrent im dwnlding is there any way by which i can make sure tht theres nothing from my end that is making the dwnld slow coz the torrent im dwnlding is of something very new in market and has a lot of seeders and leechers

First off, what are the number of seeds your getting per torrent ?
Seeds are the number of people who are uploading the complete file. The more the seeds, the better the speeds. Usually, torrents from Demonoid are considered better than the rest of the torrents.

As far as clients are concerned, Azureus is pretty good for beginners as well as advanced users. The only drawback is, it consumes lots of ram being a java app.
