I guess he wants to create extra partitions which a normal user thinks can't be done without formatting.

@spanda- Just use any partitioning soft like Acronis disk director or Easeus.

@Op.
If You Want to Shrink C drive and create New Partition out of it use EaseUS or Acronis as suggested by Dashing.Sujay.
I personally prefer and recommend using EaseUS Partirion Manager.
Note:Be Carefuly While Fiddling With Partitions and C System Drive To be specific .One wrong change and you will left with UnBootable System.

All the Changes Made in Easeus are Stacked as Pending Operations as long as the user doesnt Applies The Change.

Be Sure to apply Changes only when you are Confident of Changes You Have Made to Disk.

creating new partitions will most probably break the recovery/factory state option of laptops like dell,lenovo etc. which come with pre-installed genuine windows 7.if you don't know how to manually activate windows 7 on oem systems & need the recovery option i suggest leaving partitions as such.

Windows 7 let you partition a drive after installation, but be careful.
Start -> right click computer -> Manage -> Disk management -> Right click large partition and select shrink volume -> follow further steps.

I repeat, be careful while performing this.
