i am looking to bbuy cpu and other components plz help....
i like gaming ..... so gpu is well needed... i shud run dirt 3,crysis,assassins creed,etc

1. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that)

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A:windows 7 or xp

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A:500 gb (min)

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A:already hav a 20" led

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A:it will be assembled

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A:with in 1 1/2 month

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A:don't include monitor,speaker and deskset coz i allready have those

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A:kochi,kerala... nop will be buying frm here

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A:like to be mostly having intel processors (need ups)

Total is around 26K, a hell of a gaming machine in 1600X1200 resolution.

i guess keyboard and mouse is also known as deskset.........



yeh this is a hell of gaming machine but, i also need to include ups in same budget......

and also plz suggest intel processor range cpu in this budget including ups.......

I think he meant Keyboard and Mouse (Guess)

+1 For Cilus Rig. Only AMD Rig can fit i 26k which can be OCed.

just one suggestion How abt opting for the Mobo with Bulldozer support? so that upgrade path will be clear.

And +100 to Tech_Wiz suggestion, if OP is open to upgrades in the coming 1-2 years, then he should opt for a BD compatible mobo.

bt now i extended ma budget to 30k.......
so plz do help to find a gud configuration with core i processors(i5 or i7)

as clius already suggested one with amd

don't include (monitor,keyboard and mouse)

other all components needed......(dvd rw,2.1 speaker,etc)

^6850 is min need for gaming at full hd.

^^do v hav any equivalent or greater gpu than 6850 cheaper than in any other brand and suggest a psu too.......

so gpu+psu max budget--- 10k i cud jus include any 2.1 speaker for the rest 2k

Good PSU starts with 2k+ and within 8k you cant get anything which will support Full HD Gaming at High Setts. Min is 6850 and its 9.8k+. So around 12k odd

Cabby – frontech great (ran out of budget so………)

anyway bt one ?
my mobo has a dvi and monitor got vga port......so i bought a dvi to vga connector...... at the time of installa tion i got some prob .... after instaling win7 system rebooted and was set to first use bt monitor went standby after showing the intel page.... and i took someones monitor and cleared it by setting resolution which had a dvi port..... again connected my monitor with a dvi to vga connector btdisplay is showing some green factor i mean green color is more....... wat wud b the prob....? i already checked the settings and i got another version of gfx driver too bt still its same

is it the prob if the connector.....?
