Got a few queries

i currently use a nokia 3230. i have customised it to a very large extent uising software and games avaialble from the net. now i want top buy a new cell.

i have been very much impressed with the SE Walkman series.

but i have got a few queries:

1. Will i be able to download and install stuff on the SE series as simply as i could on the S60 platform of nokia?

2. how is the usability of the SE interface as compared with nokia?

3.Resale value

4.Suggestions on the model.

1) what do u mean by simply installing? yes, installation of java apps is as simple as draggin from ur comp and dropping into the cell phone file manager. u can't install symbian apps on any walkman phone except the w950i and that is symbian uiq. so the variety is less than the s60 apps.

2) well u'll find ur way thru the interface easily. i didn't face any probs when i last migrated to SE. for a nokia user its interface is easiest. for a moto user he's adjusted to its interface and so on. i think this Question can be best answered by someone who's recently switched over to se from nokia.

3) resale value of se was lower than nokia. but i dunno abt the newer phones. they mite be same or better depending on the model.

4) walkman phones: w810i, w610i, w830i... (> ~14k) the best ones. if u want a bit lower model: w700i (~11k). the still lower end walkman phones are not worth buying, the higher end walkmans are too costly, imho.

there are many other models, but since u've asked for walkman models i've posted abt those only.

1. Only java apps are available. Not much variety. UIQ phones support symbian apps, but choice still limited compared to S60.
2. Nearly same.
3. Poorer compared to Nokia (Nokia fetches highest resale value).
4. Nokia N72.
