i run winxp/sp2 on p4 pc. use maxthon browser.
i use bsnl dataone broadband and also bsnl dial-up.
since the last one month my broadband speed is pathetic. while i used to get 30-50 kbps speed, now it is just around 1-2 kbps. obviously something is wrong somewhere. my dial-up speed is around the same ie around 7-8 kbps. while connecting, both give no problems. use no firewall. even tried disabling the sp2 firewall. system is clean. checked for virus/spyware/junk.
i had launched a complaint with bsnl, and they say they have checked my line and also at their internet exchange, and everything is ok by them. they also checked and found the modem provided by them, working ok. i had also manually entered the IP/Subnet/DNS Server number given to me by them. this has been going around for a month now.
now they say that the problem could be at my end. ie either my hardware or my os. actually both have not gone any change and are still the same as earlier.
so shud i go and reformat/reinstall my pc/xp ? or is there anything
i need to check up ? perhaps my settings/services have been inadvertantly disturbed...!?
