blue screen error...

this has been most annoying moment for me....bought a new graphics card.....and sat to play the game.....the computer restarts showing off a blue screen with some commands that went over ma head....now can anyone tell why m i getting all this and ways to get over it??...pls guys....i wanna have some nice time at ma pc....it keeps on restarting with that `blue` screen...

Did u installed the graphics driver correctly? I think there's some problem in ur graphics driver. Uninstall it & reinstall.

I suggest reinstalling OS. It happens sometime with windows. My soundcard after installing sound drivers used to reboot Xp just after login :/ I reinstlled XP and the problem was gone.

1. check the processor heatsink well touched correctly fitted ,cause i had same blue screen for this error
2. then Check ur gfx card correctly placed
3. mainly check the RAM please !!! this could be the main reason for blue screen of death

Sorry dude the screen flashes for a micro sec ..its impossible to take a pic...the only word that i was able to read was 'bios'...

ok...if possible try another GFX card on your system and report back.

I tried ati 4850 of ma buddy on ma pc for some days and there was no such prob then...another thing i would like to share is, i had nvidia 7300 before and experienced this bod prob then too..but it was like 1 in 100 times..nd i didn't even notice many times..then came the ati one for some days..and now after this nvidia 9600gt..its like everytime i turn on ma pc..its bod before shut down...

So your BSOD screen stays just for a second and then the computer restarts? Check the following first,

Go to Control Panel.
Go to System Properties.
On the Advanced tab, click on Settings button under Startup and Recovery.
Under System failure, deselect Automatically restart.

Now, Windows will not restart automatically after a BSOD. So you can take a pic of it and post here. Just wait for your next BSOD.

Go to Control Panel.
Go to System Properties.
On the Advanced tab, click on Settings button under Startup and Recovery.
Under System failure, deselect Automatically restart.

Now, Windows will not restart automatically after a BSOD. So you can take a pic of it and post here. Just wait for your next BSOD.

i couldn`t find system properties option in control panel.....well....to let u know...i changed the slot of my ram`s and fortunately it worked....to some extent i should say...the error shows up merely twice in a day......but still...i`ve experineced it quite a few times in last two odd days.....

i tellu short way.......right click on my computer icon ang choose properties from drop down menu the last optiopn.....LOL

Check whether the RAM module and the Gfx card are properly placed.
And about System Properties, just right click on the My Computer Icon and select System Properties, follow what debsuvra said, and then wait and post about the next BSOD.

Maybe gfx driver conflict. Try uninstalling all you gfx driver and download the latest from official site.

now guys i read somewhere to check whether its windows pob or gfx`s...and ve come to know that its with gfx...now the error says something about a file named.... nv4_dsip.dll ..when i googled it..i found many people have the same prob with same file....i`ve changed gfx integrated memory from the bios too...it was 128 initially and i changed it too 512...as my card is of 512mb...after that....bsod came up with a diff error...i mean it was not as it used to be.... nv4_disp.dll it was something else....

i had this prob with my HD4850,turned out that it was a faulty card(had a faulty power connector)!
