take a 30k Samsung mobile to service center. you'll get top notch service. Do the same with a 3k Samsung mobile, you'll know the difference.

If thats true, then it would be a really myopic policy by Samsung. Customer who uses their < 3k mobile today may well buy their premium handsets tomorrow. He may even be using the < 3 k mobile as a 2nd phone or for his parents or grandparents, etc. And after experiencing their service, he may well put off buying any Samsung mobile in future.

Samsung gotta be real dumb if they are really practicing such discrimination.

As for the handsets, having used a ~ 3 k Sammy briefly, few months ago, I was not a satisfied user. Wasn't much satisfactory in either signal strength or keyboard or anything else... not even considering the price. I'd say Nokia is better here. But then it does depend on the particular model more than just the brand.

not a newbie.....
Nokia C3? Still the best damn phone with qwerty keyboard. It even runs whatsapp. Or you might check out the new Asha series.

very well said.

As for the purchase, on hold currently. May purchase next week.
Will be using my aircel sim to browse net (1GB 3G @ 198, kinda cheap) on Arc. So, a non gprs phone can also be used. And I am looking at x1-01 with a huge 1320mah battery.

I do not like to carry a huge qwerty phone in my pocket.
Its just for talking sometimes, when my arc's running out of juice (pretty early after the last update, need to root). Thanks for the suggestion :)
