automatic shutdown and restart please help.

Guys i have dual boot system win xp pro and win 7 ultimate.Strangely from today morning whichever os i use either the system shuts down completely or restarts automatically after 10-15 mins.
I have checked the temps too everything is fine.dont know what is causing the problem.

Please help.

I suppose two problems.
First one : May be a malware. Scan your computer.
Second One : Check your startup applications and folder.

even it is present in the safe mode.Auto restart in safe mode too.

No nothing.Today after pushing the start button the lights blinked and turned off.this happened 5-6 times after 5-6 tries the system booted.But again after 10 mins shutdown.

How did u checked temp?

This might be a problem related to your system's hardware.

Before that you have to check whether its a problem related to s/w or h/w.
To check that start your pc and CHECK whether it goes into windows, if it does then the problem goes to Hardware.It would be helpful if you check your SMPS and CMOS. if any one of them fails, this might happen.
