Ans: HD movies etc etc , World of warcraft, HoN, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2 and the Call of Duty game commin up in the Winter Session.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 35k-40k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO ... heard about it and reading up.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Win 7 32-bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 gb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 21" or 22''

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: DvD writer

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Aug or Sept

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Both ( my friend and me)

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Ans: Lil Bit of Future proofing so i can upgrade specs later and not get stuck.
Planning on putting in a Cooling system later (reading up on that too).

i heard ATI cards go really great with AMD

Are there any better Processors...willing to spend 2 or 3k more but need to be a lil future proof

Obviously you can buy this at Lamington Road. Its hardware heaven in India. AMD cards work equally well with Intel too. Only difference is they will not be able to do Hybrid CFX.
The configuration posted above is perfect. The only small problem might be availibility of that processor. If it is not there get AMD Phenom II 965 @Rs.6400

this is april. it'll be better if you bump this thread 2-3 weeks before purchasing the system. by then Ivy Bridge will be out and it may be affordable also. also new AMD processors are coming out and by then Phenom II will completely disappear from market.

I agree with Sam, no point of planning your build 5 months earlier, God knows that the discussed components will be available on that time or not.
