Wow!

Airtel, the only reliable 3G service provider in India reduced charges for 3G Data,

Only Airtel has initiated this practice, others soon to follow???!!!

In-spite of having "HORRIBLE" customer care,Airtel manages to provide good technical support for 3G customers

OLD PRICE (3G Chennai) [P.S: Sorry for tiny picture, plz check airtel dot in for more details]

Vodafone is OK in 3G services,Idea shares Vodafone's 3G service in Chennai,so its also OK,

BSNL - cheaper, but you'll have to stay in open space always!!!

Aircel - works only in some areas, almost similar to bsnl,

AIRTEL gives speed of 2.4Mbps to 4.6Mbps in almost all areas of Chennai,Amazing speed!:)):-o

Enjoy!

I find Airtel CC pretty decent. I don't know why you say so. I have got every issue resolved except one, on which I gave up myself.

Been an Airtel user for many years now (6y) and my entire family is on airtel save one docomo connection (which is a spam hog)

Airtel is undoubtedly the best 3G provider (not because I work for them ;-) ) since they got the most licences. But that depends on the city. Down South out here Aircel grabbed enough spectrum while completely ignoring the rest of the country. Apart from the grossly overpriced tariffs I have had no complains with them.

I made a table before that and it was completely confusing so I made this one. The theory of relatiivty made me feel this was Ok. But now I can see no sense in it too. So here are the plans upto 450.

Each city varies in pricing so will have to go to the wesite airtel.in and check for yourself.
No scree capture SW with me too :-(

New Rates are still unreachable for majority of people. 2G Plans less than 100 are working well for both mobile and data card.
Operator should consider following plans.
Rs. 100 for 1.5 GB
Rs. 300 for 4 GB
Rs. 500 For 8 GB
Rs. 750 Unlimited (fair usage policy limit 50 GB or 20GB atleast)
Then they can get more 3g customers to recover their cost of setting up 3G infrastructure.
4GB in 3G in not huge, it will end up in 2-3 hours if heavily used, if it is used normally i will end up before 20 days.

I dont know why Mobile Company are not changing theier strategy to recover their cost quickly.

They would lose their fixed BB lines if they bring these plans ;-)

Yes but that is what the distant future looks like. There wont be any steep drops anytime soon looking at the money that went into 3G auctioning.

Being given companies paid staggering huge amount for the 3G licenses, its ought to be such costly. IMO, it will take at least a bare min 2-3 yr for costs to reduce by a big difference.

Reliance GSM- 51- 1GB, 98- 3GB, 101- *unlimited* (dont heard about any limit)
DoCoMo- 48- 2GB, 96- 6GB (most VFM 2G data plans)
VoDafone- 98- unlimited surfing, downloading chargable (don't know what they mean by that :-? )

Airtel was really good back in those Rs,15/day MO internet days. Mass adaptation later crapped the network.

More subscribers hogging the same tower is bad. Lots of clogging. Early adopters in this once instance are actually benefited.

Docomo is giving fair speed of downloading (16-20 Kilobyte per second or 128-160 kbps) in 2G constantly, the avg speed one gets around 17KBPS which is good @ Rs.95 for 4GB all regural net activity like youtube video downloading via IDM (not for live streaming), Songs Downloading email, chat, browsing. torrent also possible but it is very time consuming
