wat the hell....use default windows encryption na....right click on any file and say encrypt..it wont open in any....any other win installation..thats probably bcos it uses system sig to encrypt the file.so it opens on that machine for that user only....

You can try that, but if you reinstall XP without backing up your private key..............BOOM!! Your files are lost forever!!!! Don't ever try this please. I've lost lot if important data after doing this

Using Windows encryption, another user on the same computer can't run those files, leave alone using them on another system. Encrypted files are user specific, along with being system specific.
