i have one laptop and a desktop..both having bluetooth..i want to know that whether i can establish a network connection between them..for file sharing..if yes please tell me the steps..thanksssss in advance

Yes you can do it if your bluetooth device has PAN (personal area network) or Network access profile. You can go to Network Connections in Control Panel to see if there is any Bluetooth LAN listed there. If you find one in both the computers then you can setup bluetooth LAN. Just assign IP address (192.168.1.XXX series) manually on both the bluetooth network connections. Then you can initiate network connection from your bluetooth software. This step is different depending on what kinda bluetooth driver you have.

But forget about transferring files using bluetooth LAN. its too slow to work with.
