conroe will not support sli officially .. what's this .. does this make sense?

intel is not going to officially support sli on its 965 p or 975 x chipsets .. why? dont know .. neither intel nor nvidia has given any reasons for it ..

if u want sli then go for nvidia nforce 570 and 590 sli for conroe ..
if u want crossfire then go for intel 975x or ati rd 600 chipset which is not out yet ..

if u want both then go for intel 975x chipset .. sli can be had on it with hacked drivers...

nor why are these boards so costly .. cos they are based on 975x and 965 p chipsets which are very overclocking friendly ..

infact many wc are being set on these 975 x chipset boards ..

also in india top end boards are sold with a lot of price premium ..

conroe beats amd in games ...hence all the sli based systems will be conroe based from now on ..

hey friend..

if am no too late u can pick my config..

AMD64 3300+
asus k8v
1 gb ram (ddr~333)
120 gb hd (puma)
nvidia xfx 5200 (256 mb)
creative soundblaster 5.1

i know this is not the best config.. but think enuf for your purpose.. if you want value for money..

and if you want to render some 3d works faster then can pick a better render card insted..

though some people says about amd's overheating problem.. still i have not yet suffered..often my pc runs for 3-4 days continuously..

GEt Intel Core 2 Duo, conroe or allendale, even the cheapest C2D should provide an average of maybe 20% boost over similar priced amd.

Get Intel.

If you can't wait then get something very cheap now and upgrade in 2-3 months by selling it.
