Ok here goes one :

AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+ , Asus A8N32 SLi Premium , XFX 7900GT XXX Edition , Kingston 2*1 GB DDR433 , Antec Performance TX1050B (bundled with a SP2.0 500W PSU) , WD 4*74 GB Raptor in RAID 0 ,

Well this is not exactly a high end pc ... but an entry level high segment one ... enough for any current games etc. etc. but if u really wan a high end PC then how about this :

Two Dual Core Opteron 285's, Tyan K8WE Mobo , (2) XFX 7950GX2 SLI , Ageia PhysX card, 16GB DDR433 RAM, (4)Seagate 750GB SATA300 drives ~ 3 terabytes, (2) 15,000rpm 146GB scsi raid, Dual 750Watt power supplies, Ent Srv 2003 64-bit/Suse 10 64-bit, Apple 30" Cinema at 2560x1600, ... & plenty of blue lights. and modding ..

How about this :
Intel 975 chipset Motherboard with compatible Intel processor
Leadtek Winfast PX7900GTX (fastest Graphics Card available!!)
Kingston 2 GB RAM (433)
Western Digital 120 GB HD (10,000 RPM)
SamSung 17' Monitor
Altec Lansing Speakers 5.1 channel (500 watts) Speakers
Sony DVD Writer
This is definitely a high-end Graphics monster!!

I see, u need a system for Animation, that means Maya, 3DS Max etc

go for Athlon64 AM2 4200+ X2, cos AM2 is here to stay & u r buying a new PC
Nforce 550 based motherboard, it will be enough for u

2 GB RAM, this will help a lot, get 2X1GB or even 4X512 MB as the motherboard will usually have 4 memory slots

Geforce 7600GT PCI with 256 MB RAM, refrain from 128 MB RAM, as even in openGL mode, the viewport goes slow on gaming cards, & quite frankly, i don't think a Rs 90,000 Quadro FX 4400 is in your budget

A 17" Samsung Dyanflat monitor, LCD is good, but if u can squeze one in your budget, then go for Samsung 713N

Keyboard & Mouse according to u, however i would say...get a Logitech/Microsoft high DPI optical mouse

wait for conroe: strongly recommended

even if you get the slowest core 2 duo (E6300), it may be fine , it may cost around 10k

as for graphic card, you need to get quadro or fire series from nvidia and ati, I doubt whether the amount/quality of work you are planning to do needs anything over a 256mb 7600GT at the very maximum, very very maximum, if you want to game then it is a different thing al together.

Get a:

Intel Conroe ( Core 2 Duo ) E 6300/6400 or higher : 10-12k(maybe more for E6400)
Intel some 975 chipset, not sure of exact details, it is for 17.5k
4 X 1gb DDR 2 667 ram : 20-25k
256mb 7600GT - 512mb Geforce 7900GTX : 12-13k to 30-31k or more
I think a 7600GT should be more than enough, please ask others though/as well
250/300 GB SATA II NCE HDD, Seagate
PSU: Antec NeoHE500 or better depending upon the system

and if u plan to go for conroe then get one of these boards ...

1. ASUS P5W DH DELUXE - 975 X
2. INTEL BAD AXE XBX - 975 X
3. ASUS P5B DELUXE - 965 P
4. GIGABYTE GA-P965-DQ6 - 965 P

now out of these, go for the first one if u want crossfire or sli
and the last if u dont want it ..

also all these boards supports kentsfield .. intel's first quad core processor based on conroe platform releasing in jan 2007 ...

hi techies...............
if the price of mobo for conroe is abt 14-17k then its useless waitng for it n i wud rather buy an amd 3800+.( did u say that there is a mobo for 5k also....if yes then hw is it performance wise??????) will there b compatibility issues with that mobo with the gpx card, tv tuner card n all that???? plz reply.....

then get crossfire instead,

for 5k mobo, please visit techenclave.com/forums and ask them,

Also, even if mobos are expensive the cpu+mobo comes out to be aroudn 25k, while X2 3800 + decent mobo will be sub 15k, however the former will be much much better and even beat or equal a X2 4400 or higher

what the hell r u guys telling him SLI & crossfire for animation.....first look what he needs

Conroe is good, but if u can't wait then get a Athlon64 X2 based system, u will only notice 5% difference in similar rating based Conroe, while rendering...

However, Conroe brings SSE4, which is good, something AMD Athlon64 X2 doesn't have yet

if u can go for conroe, & E6600 should be enough for your needs...with a 7600GT PCI-E with 256 MB RAM
