1) Fruits And Vegtables

Fruits and vegetables are very healthy for you. They have a lot of fiber and antioxidants. In addition to this, eating raw fruits and vegetables will make you feel fuller, faster! The amounts of calories that fruit and vegetables have are really low. So be sure to eat plenty of them!

2) Eat In Proportions

Never overfill yourself. Eat until you are satisfied but do not overeat. Remember, you can always pack food up and save it for later. Remember this tip when you got out to eat at a restaurant or fast food!

3) Frequency

Instead of three big meals a day, eat less but more frequently. Doing so will keep your blood sugar levels in check. It will help avoid a calorie overload. Try to eat 5-6 small meals in a day.

4) Better Choices

Avoid fast food and processed food, they have more sodium and fat. You can lose weight just by eating home cooked meals.

5) Be Consistent

Do not jump into eating healthy right away. Allow yourself time to eat some of the foods you really like. A consistent change will give you more hope than a quick change and failure. A slow progression will give you faith about your overall progress.

6) Understand Food Nutrition

Fat free claims on products do not necessarily mean that the product is low in calories. Read the nutrition facts on the label to avoid foods that are high in sugar and fat. Do not be fooled by misleading labels that can be put on any product.

7) Water

Try to drink 8 glasses of water a day. It helps to avoid pop, coffee, and anything else loaded with sugar.

8) Exercise

Exercise for 30 min – 60 minutes each day to burn off calories. This is one great way to lose a lot of body fat.

9) Write

Keep your progress in a journal. Write where you are and where you want to be. Tracking your progress on paper will help you focus on you dream. Visually seeing your progress will keep your motivation high!

Diet control, is simply not my thing! I can't avoid eating. And I love stuff, that supposedly have fat, like Malai, chips, butter, etc... etc.
So the only way I can control my tummy would be to gym! So be it.

I went to the gym, but overwhelmed with the choices of exercises options.
I think in order for tummy reduction, two exercise are good: Running on treadmill, and/or cycling.
Isn't it? :?

Arey yaar I went down from 36" Waist to 29". I don't remember the exact weight decrease though. And I'm pretty much cautious about not going so overweight. Maybe 5-6 Kgs max definitely not more than 10Kgs. If I border around 8 Kgs then I quickly make dietary changes and increase my exercise routine to loose the weight. Added to that I have a digital scale at home to monitor.

^^good luck

It's a proven fact that anybody can't to spot reduction like tummy only etc. It's very unlikely. You are bound to loose weight from other parts of body as well.

Apart from weight if you give your height that would be better to judge if you are over weight or obese

Almost every weekend I binge at McDonald's, KFC etc and have Biryani regularly still I'm hardly 4-5 Kgs overweight. So if you balance it out with exercise it will work out

Too be really honest if you want to loose weight the best thing for you to do would be Aerobics that will help you loose weight faster. If you ask me Running on tread mill will burn more calories provided what setting you have whether you have inclination on and the speed set on the treadmill. Cycling will most probably tone your leg muscles not sure that would help you reduce your tummy that much.

The best suggestion I would give you is do a combination of weights and Aerobics or Cycling+treadmill+Elliptical Trainer

@ajayritik: Thanks for replying in such detail!
I think running would be the best exercise for my tummy. But, what's Elliptical trainer?
PS: I am 5'4".

Vineet first thing you need to do is calculate your BMI. That should be something for you to look into. You can go to this site to check your BMI Calculate Your BMI - Standard BMI Calculator
When I give in your details it shows normal weight.

Elliptical trainer is as show in this link
*www.google.com/search?q=elliptical...&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1280&bih=800

It's good for people who don't want their knees to get more of pressure. I read somewhere that if we use treadmill it effects the knees. Since I have history of knee pain I prefer Elliptical Trainer over Tread Mill coz only of the pain involved.

As I told earlier and repeating again Aerobics is the best thing for loosing weight . However if you want to loose weight and build a good body as well then it would be combination of weights and Aerobics. Also it would help if you can cut down on some food.

Diet control, is simply not my thing! I can't avoid eating. And I love stuff, that supposedly have fat, like Malai, chips, butter, etc... etc.
So the only way I can control my tummy would be to gym! So be it.

Here you mentioned that you like the above food. You haven't mentioned about sweets, Soft Drinks etc. If you can cut down on these then it would help. Things like Thums Up etc.
