I want to upgrade my PC.Should I go for Athlon X2 / C2D? I want an xplanation of one thing.Athlon X2 4000+ means there will be 2 processors each of 2.0ghz.Right? But an intel 3.0 ghz means 2 proc of 1.5 each or 2 proc of 3.0 each?

which mobo to go for intel DG 33 FBc is 5800 where as asus P5K-VM is above 7000. The specifications seems to be similar. My proc will be C2D 6550 with 1333 MHz FSB.
