Hi to all, I need to convert the .dat (Movie files) to .avi using Dr. Divx. So i need some suggestion...i searched through the forum but did not got the req info... generally a movie contains 2 cds (.dat) i need to compress this to avi so that i can fit to a single cd with a good...

I tried converting the DVD .vob file to divx format using dr divx but the output has some sound issues...The sound is not clear some humming(with some crackiling sound)is there in ripped file.... Virtualdub is not working for vob files... Any idea how to get optimum sound quality...
