If i use two 256 mb ddr ram module at 400mhz each then will the overall speed of ram become 800mhz?

i hv 256 DDR ram @ 266mhz n i feel d need 2 get another 256mb stick... wat i wanna know is wats d diff between 266mhz n 400mhz sticks for same memory... and can i get another 256mb wit 400mhz speed along wit current one or i need to change my current to 400mhz aswell? cheers

I had bought 2 DDR RAM's of 256 MB each @ 400MHz But When I checked the frequency of the RAM in CPUZ it is showing 200MHz. Even in the BIOS the max option is 200. But the MoBo manual says that it can support 400 MHz RAM. Yet Again The dealer insists that he has supplied me 400Mhz RAM...

I am using CPU-Z VERSION 1.28.1-March 2005 and look at the screenshot of my PC. CPU-Z detects my RAM as PC-3200 which is meant to be 400Mhz but then it displays it as 200 Mhz. Why so ???
