Broken In
I posted it in the "cleaning up trash" thread. First uninstall nero if you already have it, and reinstall, but in the installation options, untick everything except startsmart, express, and burning rom. That makes the install take only 146 MB, and burning takes around 45-50 MB in memory. Not exactly lightweight, but compared to the highly bloated 1 gig install and 100 mb memory it takes regularly, its better like this. Since nero is one of the best burners feature-wise, I guess this one's better than others suggested here :) Try it.

Me 2 do the same thing. There is no need of all other component. Installing everything from package just because we paid for the copy is idiotic.
Install only those component which u really need n use.

Actually memory and HDD space usage was one thing and next thing was - portable. As I mentioned before infrarecorder was working fine for this except the other point I mentioned. On google search, I got a link to Ashampoo portable, but not sure whether its official / legal.

Also, how to make sure it is really portable. I mean when I tried, it didn't install anything, just an exe file, but any registry entries ? How to check that ?

You Can check for registry entries manually by Start>Run>Regedit , and then search for your product in HKEYlocalmachine softwares or something..Ask Vishal he is registry expert :D.
Best way to check is look at the download link, if it is from ashampoo.com then its official!

And Legal
