Yeah One Power is a great phone. Stock Android One, 2 years updates, 5000mah battery, etc.

I am looking for a sub 5k phone for everyday use-recently i spotted that FK is offering the zenfone lite l1 for about 5000-this does fit the bill as far as my requirements go,however i noticed that a lot of buyers have complained that this handset doesn't support Volte.

However a few others have claimed that originally the handset lacked volte support, which was added by ASUS later via a FOTA update-unfortunately i couldn't find any way to confirm this.

Does anyone here know whether this phone really supports volte or not? Also does this phone have any other known drawbacks?if possible, please share your views on this matter, thanks.

My brother had bad experience with asus so I am avoiding Asus but if it's good then I can consider. How about realme phones?

Would you kindly share the details as to what experience your brother had with his asus phone? It would be very useful for a lot of us here.

I bought Moto X4 6gb ram model. Got 4.8k for my redmi 5A so if the exchange goes through then for 8.2k pretty good deal from Flipkart.

After takeover of lenovo it will not be as good as earlier, that's for sure. Even lenovo's laptop after sales service is not known for its quality, can be considered average at best compared to Dell.

You can check on Lenovo A5 too. Both are more or less same on spec, but A5 (MediaTek MT6739) got 4000mah compared to 3000mah of A1 (Snapdragon 430), and a fingerprint sensor. Also, A5 is 1k more than L1.

For INR 1500/- i don't think you get anything better. My cousin got it after his android died and sent to repair as a temp phone, he said he can return it and get his INR 1500/- back.

I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy Jio Phone. I have been using mobile phones for more than a decade, and this is the worst.

- You're not buying, you're renting it for 3 yrs. If you don't fulfill the terms neither you will get your money back nor you get to keep the phone.
- Keypads are worst.
- Hangs a lot. Hangs when its idle, hangs when call comes, hangs when you use it.

I have shared my experience here in this thread. Check it, if you still wanna buy it then go for it.

That phone will be used primarily for calling or sending texts occasionally. Do you think it would be suited for this?

I read a lot of negative reviews about the phone on Amazon-most buyers were complaining that it starts malfunctioning within a few months of purchase and reliance's service center refuses to honor warranty on various grounds.

Since the phone won't be subjected to any kind of heavy usage, how long is it probably going to last? Also how's the battery backup of this phone?

Why don't you buy Nokia 3310? Sure it costs more but its 3310, you can have peace of mind by spending more.

Actually it will be used by my mother, not me and she already has a Samsung feature phone.

The reason i wanted to get the jio phone for her is that she makes frequent phone calls to friends /relatives and so the calling balance gets depleted rather quickly, thereby forcing us to recharge it often.

I thought with jio's 49 plan we'll be able to avail unlimited calling, which will be a major advantage.

However as i was reading nac's thread on his jio phone experience, i learned that if i recharge it for rs 49 every month for a year, then the total recharge amount won't exceed 1500, which will be in violation of their terms and conditions. In that case will they allow us to continue using the phone or stop providing services to it?

Also are there multiple variants of the 1500 rupees' worth jio phone, manufactured by different companies?

My mom has jiophon1. Its UI is horrible. It aint a smartphone sure, but my dad's Samsung Slider from 10 years ago had way better and smoother user interface. Its a nightmare to use.

Is it simple enough to allow novice users to make and receive calls without any issues?

What happens if one recharges the phone with rs 49 continuously for one year? Will they cease to provide all services as the min recharge amount of rs 1500 was not satisfied?

Brother I would stay away from these contracts and all. Get some other cheap phone which supports 4g for unlimited calling.
