New Keyboard: Red switch or Blue?

Hey everyone I am pretty new to mechanical side of keyboards. I am right now using Logitech G105 and want to switch over to the mechanical keyboards. But the problem is the even after reading best of guides online I am unable to decide to which kind of switch should I use?
I am mainly a programmer and also an avid gamer (add me on steam : itspriyank), so as far as my knowledge goes I think blue switches are best for both gaming and typing and have a better tactile feedback. But red switches are less noisy.

I have an IBM M Legandary keyboard lying around in my house but its not working so I can't get the exact feel of the switches. Also in our loving country there are no wallmart like stores where you can test all switches.

So if anyone has an experience with the switches then please help me out in selecting the new keyboard.

Thanks!

I use a CM Storm Ultimate red switch keyboard and love it. Excellent build quality and the keys are very light, sensitive and quiet. I am also a programmer and casual gamer but don't like the click-clack noises made by blue switches. It's a matter of personal preference really. Also, red switches don't have that "click" at the point of actuation that some people, especially touch typists, just need to have. If you want the click but not the noise, look for a brown switch keyboard.

I am more of a corsair fan and would like to go with k70. But the only type available is red switches. How loud would be blue for a nightowl like me? Also how good is the tactile feedback from brown switches?

I am a big fan of red but sometimes blue looks more appealing to the eye.
HAHA bro I was talking about Cherry MX switches, and backlit does not matter much to me for mech keyboards.

Blues can be pretty loud, especially if you like to bang on the keys. You've got to think of your room mates too, if any. Haven't used browns so can't comment on the feedback. See this video for a detailed comparison:

Almost all popular models have blue, brown and red variants, but brown switch keyboards are hard to find in India. Go for the K70 or CM Storm Ultimate browns if you can find them. Avoid Razer.

I have Logitech G710+ with brown switches and love it. I did my own research when buying this keyboard but don't really remember the points I considered.

If you go to any shop in your area that carries mechanical keyboard, you can actually try them out and see which ones you like.

I just love the look of k70. But its only available with red and blue switches in India. I have been contacting so many distributers throughout India to find one piece and to no use.
Please suggest me any retailers.
