You have the powerful I5 2500K , then why do you want to upgrade.

Get a HD 7870 @ 16.5K From www.mdcomputers.in

For 25k the performance will easily drop. So spend the 25k for the Graphics Card , and Ask your bro to buy a new one.

I am little confused here and so was Sainatarajan I reckon.

Can you please tell us about your requirements and the budget that you are planning to invest on your upgrades?

By reading your post, the questionaire answers your brothers requirement and budget and does not say anything about your urge for upgrade or the budget you want to spend on the same.

PS:: Lets do one at a time rather than mixing both your configs.

GTX 660 ti costs 21k whereas HD 7950 costs 21.5K . HD 7950 competes with the GTX 670 and so it is better than GTX 660 TI...

I think you saw some fake videos. HD 7950 clearly beats the GTX 660 Ti and is on par with the GTX 670 . So Go with the HD 7950

Absolutely,If budget permits, you should definitely go for HD 7950,even 7870 tahiti LE beats GTX 660 Ti,SO WHY ARE you insisting on 660Ti??

BTW sainatarajan, Which HD 7950 is at 21.5 k,all i know of are above 22k:shock:

There is a difference between gtx 660ti and hd 7950 at 1080p. And gtx670 ~ hd 7970 non ghz edition. A 3-4 fps difference at above 60fps is negligible ;)
+ you will get adaptive vsync and be saved from horibble screen tearing at more than 60fps.
Gtx 660ti is more than enough at fhd resolution ;)

^^ Get your point correct, Stuttering or Screen tearing is a known problem with Dual GPU solution where nVidia SLI has an advantage over AMD Crossfire. But in single GPU based system, both have more or less same level of stuttering which is negligible and not visible to naked eyes.
And GTX 660 Ti is marginally better than the standard version of HD 7950 which runs at 850 MHz speed. Currently most of the HD 7950, including the Sapphire VaporX version, come with the Boost BIOS and runs at 920 to 950 MHz speed. Also after the driver updates starting from 12.7 Beta, the performance of HD 7950 boost version is always over GTX 660 Ti and very very close to GTX 670. There are couple of games where 660 Ti is ahead but in most of the games it is ahead of GTX 660 Ti.
