Hello Members.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Wedding Video Editing. After Effects, Edius, Premier, Pinnacle Studio ( not all but this type of apps.)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 40k is minimum and max. 45k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: XP if possible or Windows 7 doesn't matter 64bit or not.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB Western Digital.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 19"

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Brand New PC so Will Need Everything.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: in Next 24 Hours.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will assemble them.*

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mumbai

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Hmm Yeah, Thanks in advance :D

Last thing. can i get two Configs. 1. Intel 2. AMD
Buying Total 3 PC's ( not sure yet but 1 intel and 2 AMD's)

Budget 1 PC = 40k-45k

Thank you.

I am the night...I am...
Ok here you go mate:

Processor - AMD FX 8350 - 11.5k
Motherboard - Asus m5A97 - 6.5k
Ram - G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB(F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL) - 3.2k
Hdd - WD 1TB Blue - 4.2k
Graphics Card - Sapphire 7750 - 6.5k
Cabinet = NZXT Source elite - 2.5k
PSU - Corsair CX430-V2 - 2.5K
Display- BenQ 21.5 inch LCD - GW2250HM - 9k
UPS - APC 600 VA - 2k
Keyboard - Logitech basic combo - 0.7k

Total - 48.6k

Overshoot the budget a bit , but this config is ideal for any kind of video editing. FX 8350 is the best cpu for this kind of work.
I suggested a fullhd monitor coz you will be handling videos most of the time and you need to view them in their full glory.
Radeon 7750 is more than enough for you as you won't be gaming.

Skip intel and get all three pc's with the above configuration. :)

AMD FX-8350 @ 12K
Asus M5A97 @ 6.5K
Corsair Value Series 1333 MHz CL9 DDR3 4GB X 2 @ 2.4K
Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM SATA Internal Desktop Hard Drive (DT01ACA100) @ 4.4K (Comes with 3 Years of warranty, better than both WD Green and Seagate at the same price point)
Asus HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 @ 7.2K
NZXT Source 210 Elite Cabinet @ 2.6K
Corsair CX 430 V2 @ 2.6K
Acer G205HQ 20" (1600X900) LCD @ 5.1K
Logitech Mk100 Keyboard & Mouse Combo @ 0.4K
Asus 24X SATA DVD R/W @ 1K

Total: 44.2K. This is the best sytem you can get within your budget in my opinion. Don't be fooled by the price tag of 44K. It can easily challenge and even beat a 65K Intel i5 based system for the type of applications you have mentioned.

Total : Rs. 43,200/-

they didn't had the AMD + Mobo so i have to wait around 4 hours. and shopkeeper said 430W won't support it will need more power to run this beast so replaced it with 600W it was same price so i agreed LOL. they never heard of NZXT so had to replace it with Coolmaster. and didn't bought the Monitor as i will order it from Muscat/Dubai. there is new monitor launched by LG specially made for GFX things for around 10k so this normal will cost me around 7k so what the heck i dont mind spending 3k more for better one.

so what ya think? good deal ?

this was bought from Bitsy Shop Name, Opp. Indraprasth Mall at Station Road, Borivali
bought it from shop not online.

Buddy, asap change the Cooler Master PSU. I think the PSU they have provided is Cooler Master Extreme series or Extreme Plus series. There is a reason, we don't suggest CM PSU here, CM extreme series is known as Time Bomb because of their poor build quality and design. The Corsair CX 430 V2 PSU can handle your system with ease and get that model only. Don't be fooled by the total power output of a PSU, there is a lot of factors which affect a PSU's performance but will discuss those later.

Now, get the CM PSu replaced 1st and get the Corsair one. At, Rs 4200, you can get Corsair GS600 PSU which is way better and reliable tha CM 600W PSU.

Back to school!!
CM PSU?

Please do not buy those, next time get corsair or antec.

Next, LG Drives, these are the worst, next time buy Asus.

And third, that WD Drive is green, it has some reliability issues if its used as boot drive(intellipark, too much parking damages the drive arm), next time pay 1k more and get WD 1TB Black(WD1002FAEX) for 5.6k around.

Other components are good and priced ok :)

running Windows 7 32bit Ultimate version and it's not utilizing the available RAM. my google result says i have to upgrade to windows 7 so ...what you guys say? this sucks again LOL i need Edius which runs on 32bit and After Effects cs6 runs on 64bit so i chose edius so i sticked to 32bit for now. *i371.photobucket.com/albums/oo158/vishalgmistry/th_1_zps4d69e33a.png

i mean it will need 64bit OS to use 8GB but edius doesn't work on 64bit.

you just got fuqed big time by the shop keeper.. CM Extreme is the baddest of the branded PSUs. stay away from it.

and the CX430v2 is more than enough to handle your rig.. you dont have a power hungry GPU.. the 430W with 80% efficiency is more than you need.
