Basically I am more inclined towards treble.

Rumble is always comfortable and it's what you would expect in a game, movie and some music genres.

Do your research. Head fi forum is a good start but beware of the hype mongers. There are many who will overshoot the hyperbole of exaggerations.

Never tried PX100 I, but porta pro is very nice indeed, some say they use the same drivers, in that case I'd say porta will be more comfortable.

have no personal experience with bose what-so-ever, but this what faun has written is echoed universally over the net among informed people.

i see 'comfort' is a big thing with portas. PX100-I i guess is available with a seller over at [E].

As a DAC Asus Xonar STX is clearly better. Haven't compared it to the sole AMP.

Yes, get the ST version (if you can) which can be upgraded with daughter card and has better clock. Though ST has PCI interface and STX has PCI-e.

But if you are looking for a portable amp + dac then E17 is good. Anyway MP4Nation preorder got delayed to end of March.

It's better to get Branwavz B2 instead of DBA-02 because both are same except for the label, and B2 goes for as low as $99 on special occasions. These lack in bass, are quite aggressive in presentation, not so good soundstage (please confirm this from other reviews) and treble is piercingly awesome (the best part). I'd say that these are for trebleheads and can be fatiguing for longer listening.

However if these are MK II version then they have slightly lesser treble quantity. esanthosh posted a brief review and there is a thread dedicated to MK II version of Fisher Audio DBA-02 (though read it with a pinch of salt, don't fell baited to the hype mongers).

how is Ortofon e-Q5 compared to JVC FXT 90?

Ortofons are technically superior to FXT90. Reminds me of more analytical IEMs due to their balanced nature. Not the most musical ones. Mids are silky fluid. Bass has good decent body (no bass bump at all) and the best part is bass texture + speed. I love this. Treble has got enough spark but can be fatiguing for longer use. Not sure if you will like the sound signature or not because these got mixed reviews.

These retail for over $200.

I'd recommend you to go for <$150 IEMs. And in that FXT90 excels brilliantly, though these are not balanced (with slight mid bass hump). But the soundstange, instrument separation and imaging is great. Mids are not recessed, with good weight, sounds very good with vocals, timbre of instrument gets as real as it can (similar to it's elder cousin FX 700 as confirmed by others.). Maintains good detailing too. These get generally positive reviews from high end gear owners and lo fi owners alike.

Thanks. Not too much, now hard to find some leakage but I have to replace the 6.6 mm jack with gold plated one then may be I can tell you the difference. My suggestion don't buy if you find good quality local cable.

Thanks. To establish the connection between my laptop and amp in order to use my headphone. As you can see in picture below a white cable from my laptop jack is connecting to 3.5mm female to 6.6 male connector in amp.
