Fiio E11 is only an AMP while E17 is a DAC/AMP. And the hardware control to set treble, bass and balance is quite good. See your priorities and decide.

Prefer Popo over the other two.
Hisound Popo are quite fun to have around. Not the most accurate but the musicality wins with the lush and liquid mids and wooden reverberation. Bass got some good texture. Treble is not so bright and not so dull, relaxed sounding. Distant soundstage (out of head presentation) and great instrument separation + imaging. Although bass can be quite prominent with some tips, count me as a non basshead.

I would buy them if they retail around 3k.

You got to try JVC FXT90.

Yeah, my space is running out and HDD prices are not low enough to buy one.

Never listened to Bwavz M2/M3. But if you liked PL30 and looking for similar signature then these are definitely a slight upgrade over that.

I can send you mine to evaluate with M2/M3.
I tried amazon but unable to get from their

No rumble as far as I can get. Is it good or bad?

its certainly not bad is i can say (after all, its not a 'must-have' ;)). although i thought it may be present in such an ANC headphone. moreover, i dont think it matters much in gaming. sub-bass is usually noticeable in bassy closed cans like M50, D2000, etc, and is more prominent in music, in genres like metal, trance, etc. nevermind.

At first I thought another audio only purchase. ;)

Congrats funskar. Damages? And RAM & GFX cards etc?

ditto here :)

congrats funskar ! quite some purchases there. i like the plethora of connectivity options in the Z906. its all plastic, or the sub is made of MDF ? and that tata sky+ remote on your table ? do you use your STB with your PC with a TV-tuner ? so many questions ;)

Not that low, lowest in eBay is 15k incl shipping.

he must've bought when 'jainammarketing' was selling it for around 13k. i see he has increased the price now :|

@ shuhailnp - congrats ! this speaker has received some really good feedback. they look so spic-n-span. bought from flipkart ? (and your name's pronounced as 'suhail' or 'shuhail' ? dont mind :D)

Well, as I am not a bass freak this is definitely good for me. :D

I bought a Philips USB charger to charge the amp, 299/- from ebay:

Small update guys, the Portapro beats the M35 hands down, in every damn segment, had it not been for the isolation M35 provides, I would have been done with it by it now, looks like I will be selling the M35 soon, I am amazed at the portas, how come a 1.5k headphone(in UK) beat more expensive stuff like this? M35 has a pathetic soundstage, bass on the portas are more clear, more precise.

Also its the most comfortable headset ever.

So my question is will the M35 improve after burn in? Frankly I am skeptical about burn in altogether, but am willing to give it a try.

@ tkin - congrats for the charger ! looks nice....

and burn-in DOES work. moreover, it takes time, more so for quality cans, say 100 hrs for a few, and some insane 200-400 hrs for a few others. and you would be able to really tell the difference. works likewise for speakers too. but if PortaPro is working out to be so well just out-of-the-box, i wonder how would the M35s fare even after burn-in ?!

but to be a bit fair, its a comparison between open and closed cans. closed cans cant deliver the sort of soundstage that is the signature of open cans. but i feel bass on the M35 should come out neater & tighter after a few hours (how many ? dont know). i agree that you should wait a couple of weeks may be before deciding to part with the M35.

I got mine from Dimitri Trush from Musicaacoustics along with Ortofon e-Q5.
Store

Send a mail to him
trush [at] musicaacoustics /dot/ com

If you finalize to buy from musicaacoustics then do tell me because I need a pack of ortofon tips, will send the money to Dimitri and club it with your parcel. I'll pay some part of the shipping price (remember to go for EMS speed post shipping).

I had to pay 277 rupees as custom duties for my order (FXT90 + Ortofon e-Q5).

Sure. But lot other IEMs here to be reviewed.

how dose it compared to Asus xonar STX or ST?
As a DAC Asus Xonar STX is clearly better. Haven't compared it to the sole AMP.

Hmm, I'll put the M35 on a continuous audio loop through the night for a few nights, maybe it will improve, I know about soundstage of open cans but Porta also delivers quite nice bass, how the hell does it even pull this off? Maybe this is the reason they are selling this for 28yrs straight without a change?

The bass on the M35 is still not how I would like it, its a bit dark, a bit too bassy, the bass is not tight, another week, and then this goes for sale :-x

 alrighto ! your call. in that case, i feel the M50s would be apt for you due to their versatility (esp. with regards to bass. fiddle with the EQ, and you get thin bass/good mid-bass or boom or head shattering bass/nice lows/tight & punchy bass). its a very good overall-balanced HP i feel. just wait for my audition if you can. and if i can get a chance to demo an M35 too side-by-side, that will be too good for a comparison !

Don't you want to feel the rumble of building collapsing behind you and that explosion that just ripped through the bandit camp ?

right on target :D

Yes, am waiting, and try to get your hands on a M35, burned in if you can manage as it will allow you to properly judge the sound and try to compare it to open cans, PX100(mark 1, not 2) comes close to portas, see if you can get a demo of that.

will try for that. and which one's better according to you - the PX100-I, or PortaPro ? these 'headfi-ers' do nothing except confusing you thoroughly :-x :p
