You paid 200bucks more lol. Acer n LG 16inch cost around Rs.4100. Only Asus and Benq LED 16inch cost Rs.4400.

No..There was no Benq and Asus available there
Also LG was selling at 4900 which is gonna be a waste as the monitor is for my family computer(download rig for me on my vacation) which will be used in very rare occasions
Also Acer is giving 3 years warranty compared to 1 year with LG
BTW Are you quoting prices looking at online sites or from real retailers?
